New Client Process

If you are a prospective client, here are steps we suggest:


  • We suggest an initial phone call or in-person meeting to help you determine if our firm’s philosophies and services coincide with your investment needs. We want this meeting to be as comfortable as possible, leave your checkbook at home.

  • Email or call 219-864-5050 to schedule an introductory phone call or meeting.


  • If you decide that Harvest Financial Planning is the right firm for you, we will perform a thorough analysis of your financial needs and investment portfolio, as well as make recommendations tailored to assist you to pursue your objectives.  This process will be at no expense to you.


  • We pride ourselves in seamless transitions.  Once you provide us with the necessary information and signatures, we will fully manage the process of transferring your assets to Harvest Financial Planning.  We pay special attention to tax-efficient transitions.  All cost basis information will be verified and maintained.  We will work with your accountant, attorney and previous advisors as needed.


  • After the transition is complete, your investment plan will be implemented in the manner agreed upon by you and your Harvest Financial Planning advisor. Also, any cash management needs such as systematic deposits or withdrawals will be reestablished.

New Client Services

  • We will walk you through viewing your accounts on-line, acclimating you to new statements and reports, and setting up paperless delivery, if you prefer. We will also establish a systematic review phone call or meeting with your advisor, based on your preferences.
